Meeting began at 6PM conducted by Susan King.

Minutes read- No additions or corrections

Pager Discussion- Need for people to sign up. What education is needed to carry a pager. Approx 6 people signed up for the coming month.

Web Page - Discussion of web page and how to acquire one. Susan would like to see something on the web by February 1st. (ACTION ITEM)

TR changes - Everyone was advised that the Emergency Services and Health & Safety Directors had resigned under good terms and the search is on for replacement.

Katrina - Further assignments are available. Two week deployment or more. Email Susan if you wish to go and give her the times and length of stay.

Even though donations to Katrina took the bulk of the monies that came into the RC Nevada County can be proud for their additional contribution to the local chapter (at that time). Most chapters faired poorly in local donations.

Crossnet- Every new DSHR member from Katrina to current should now have their crossnet sign-on and password. Email Susan if you don't have such.

ARC CEO- By now most everyone is aware that the CEO of the ARC resigned.

RC Month- March is National RC Month. A recognition event (light refreshments) will be held for all volunteers and their families (and selected businesses and donors) on the 9th of March at the First Baptist Church across from the NUHS on Ridge Road. Event starting time is 6PM.

We will also be handing out information packets during the month but times and locations have not been decided yet.

Training- Ned's POP Quiz and Local Disaster Scenario drew quite the discussion and good things were learned from this exercise.

DAT- Darrell Haussler reported that the DAT Guide is better organized now- It is the manual for those carrying the pager. There has been a lot of progress on the revisions. Bob Barker and Arlene Lance are working on a shelter list (list of shelters in the area of our influence). Please check the DAT box frequently for changes.

Inventory of Supplies- Bob Barker and Erma Ford have been to HWY 49, NSJ, PV and First Baptist to inspect and take inventory of the Shelter Medical Supply Boxes. Major shortages were found and a list is being ordered. They are also doing an inventory of cots and blankets being stored at Ernie's Red Ball Van and Storage.

County Disaster Plan- Discussion on county contacting RC to do a shelter plan as part of the CDP. About 25 units (shelter) have been identified. This is a work in progress. The request is for evacuation areas and then shelters. ARC would man these and help with food etc for the evacuation areas. Pages 12&13 of the draft will be copied and left below the DAT boxes for anyone who wishes one.

DSHR Overview- February 9th from 6-8 pm. This overview is meant to give all new or existing DSHR members an idea of what jobs are available and what training is needed to acquire that job. This is designed to give all members an idea of what they can move up to in job responsibility.

Requirements of DSHR- Be sure that you are current on CPR/FA training and your background checks and Health status is up to date or you will not be allowed to be deployed in the next disaster.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:40PM
