Day one, participants learn to prevent, prepare for, and respond to
emergencies. Plus they will learn and practice Adult, Child, & Infant
CPR, rescue breathing, choking rescue, and preventing disease transmission.
First aid skills include: care for bleeding, burns, fractures, seizures,
shock, heat/cold emergencies, and poisoning. State information included
on asthma, nebulizers, epi-pens, and glucose monitoring. Students will
receive an Adult, Child, & Infant CPR (valid 1 year) and CA Child
Care First Aid (valid 2 years) upon completion of class. Day
2 consists of a 7-hour, one-time only course that completes the 15-hour
child care training required by law. Upon successful completion students
will receive a Preventive Health & Safety certificate. An excellent
course for new parents!
